Principal


We are a small, aggressive, and dynamic private equity group and merchant bank catering to the HNW family community. We currently have an opening for a Principal in our Dallas office. We seek an exceptional M&A professional with significant experience, vision and leadership.

The main attributes to qualify for this position are:

  • Solid understanding of middle market investment banking and private equity transactions

  • M&A, corporate finance, turn-around / restructuring, operational, and analytical skills

  • A track-record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing both sell-side and buy-side transactions

  • A developed network of M&A professionals for deal sourcing and business development

  • The ability to package, present and illustrate complex ideas to different stakeholders, including wealthy families, lenders, and business owners

  • Excellent business writing (offering document and business plan writing experience is preferred) and presentation skills

  • Desire to be part of a high energy, highly-focused team environment

  • An ability to multi-task, problem solve, research, grasp, assimilate, communicate and negotiate complex issues

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a deal team in sourcing, marketing, conducting diligence, negotiating, financing and closing middle market transactions (both buy-side and sell-side)

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to HNW families nationwide

  • Supporting operating partners in adding value to portfolio companies through analytics, strategic planning initiatives, bolt-on acquisition sourcing, etc

  • Overseeing the development of market research and financial models

  • Developing offering memoranda, business plans, presentations and other marketing materials

  • Serving on industry panels, engaging in public speaking, and authoring / publishing industry white papers for the investment and business communities

  • Performing sell-side business development and buy-side deal origination

Required credentials:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of M&A, restructuring, mezzanine, venture capital, or other relevant work experience

  • MBA degree

  • CFA and/or CPA certification is a plus
