We are proud to announce the formation of Royal Ascot Partners, L.L.C., a middle market merchant bank focusing on companies with $2.5 to $7.5 million of current operating cash flow.  The team has considerable deal expertise, having closed a combined $2.0 billion in transactions, and has over 125 years of combined investing and operating experience.  The firm has partnered with Hickman Investments, L.P., and is focused on private equity investments in the form of growth capital, recapitalizations, and buyouts of entrepreneurial owned and operated companies, as well as divisions of larger organizations.

We seek to invest in small to mid-sized companies and to provide full or partial liquidity to entrepreneurs, family members, estates, passive investors or corporate owners.  We enjoy working with seasoned owners who seek to retire but have not created a succession plan or an exit strategy.  Our industries of interest given our expertise in these areas include but are not limited to niche manufacturing, financial services, consumer products, food and beverage, and specialty retail. 

Our firm sets itself apart from other buy-out firms in that we seek to grow companies we purchase organically first and through acquisition second.  Our principals have extensive entrepreneurial experience, having built companies from scratch into successful enterprises.  The experience positions us to partner with management effectively and we strongly believe the entrepreneurs, managers, and employees of a business drive its success.  A significant advantage to Royal Ascot’s investment philosophy is that we do not need to exit portfolio companies according to a predetermined investment horizon, thereby allowing the management of the Company to make the best decisions for the Company for the long term.  We view this advantage not only to be beneficial to our partners, but for the management team as they manage and grow the Company in a responsible manner.
